For our 33rd show, the weather was not as bad as last year, but not as good as many other years. There was a threat of rain which kept many of our cars safe at home in their garages. But there were enough brave souls that came out for us to put on a show. So, thank you all who dodged the raindrops and brought your cherished possessions to Carlisle.
The show is always a good time to catch up with old friends and make new friends. Speaking of friends, we had a tribute to Stan Carpenter, who after being a Champion of MoM for many, many years, unfortunately passed away. His wife and some family members were at the event to honor him. Many of us had “Stan” stories to remember him by.
We have put a request in for better weather next year!
The Show classes include British, European, Asian, North American, Motorbike, and a Wildcard class, which encompasses those vehicles that my not fit into the previous categories.
Thanks to all the SVVSCC members who gave their time to put together a show such as this. Each of you deserves a trophy.
