On January 24, 2025, the AACA Museum hosted its first ever William H. "Bill" Smith Birthday Open House. Approximately 450 people joined us for the day, which we hope was the first of many more to come! As part of the celebration, we presented his long-time friend and local legend, Bill Jackson with an honorary achievement award. Mr. Jackson, known locally for his journalistic efforts with the The Sun (Hummelstown), also has a long and distinguished career in racing and automotive history. A member of the AC/Bristol factory race team in the late 1950s, Jackson competed at Sebring, hill climbs and other sanctioned events, crossing paths with many automotive icons. He is a founding member of the Society of Automotive Historians and past editor of the AACA's "Antique Automobile," and several other prestigious publications. The Museum was happy to honor Bill Jackson for his lasting contributions, while also celebrating our "founding father," William H. "Bill" Smith.
