RESULTS FROM 2021 'MOM'

RECAP

The year 2021 was the 30th anniversary of the original Meeting of the Marques, although for the last eight years it has been called Artistry on Wheels and held in Carlisle in conjunction with their Harvest of the Arts Festival, which certainly adds to the overall ambiance of the event.

We could not have asked for better weather, the turnout of SVVSC Club members who parked cars, erected tents, and performed numerous other tasks was great, the response from the owners who brought their show cars was impressive, the number of show sponsors is up and, very importantly, the sheer number of spectators viewing and commenting about the cars has increased exponentially. One of our reasons for moving the event from its original site to Carlisle was to be able to include spectators. That goal was far exceeded.

Our show car attendees ran the range from vintage and late model sports/ sports touring cars to hot rods, and all the way to gorgeous Rolls Royce’s. The nine classes covered them all, including for the first time, a dune buggy.

Many thanks go out to all those who helped to handle the pre-show, show, and post-show tasks. It is your Club, and you certainly made a statement on the streets of Carlisle. We cannot forget to thank the “TOYS OF TIME KRUZERS” Car Club for managing our class judging.

Once again, we are grateful for our show sponsors and ask that you support them by your patronage.

So, by all measures, the Artistry on Wheels Car Show was a huge success.

 See you next year !!
